Great pictures Lainey. I searched on google for any mention of the old Newport Car Museum I visited in 1977. I could find nothing. But perhaps it was the precursor to what is now called the Audrain Auto Museum in Newport.

I like the old and new Acura NSXs side by side. I would love to compare them in person.

This is the museum car meet I am going to on Sunday. Its just 1-1/4 hours away. Tomorrow is an event called Mad Dogs & Englishmen. An all British car show that they have every year. It includes a 1967 fashion show for anyone who wants to dress up as a hippy. Wonder what they would say if I lite up a big Dobbie (sp?)? I never did back in the day, so I don't think I'll start now. It is an awesome museum - too big to see it all unless you want to spend an entire day just looking.

Great weather and turnout. Met up and shot the $hit with at least 40 car buddies. A few took top honors in the voting but I personally never vote at these things. I did not have a camera with me but a Jensen 541R similar to this was one of the more unusual cars. The flat face where the grill would be is manually opened to create a big mouth. The engine was a flat 6 Austin. Owner said there was only 173 built.

A buddy brought a racing Turner that he just bought along with a 1948 Triumph Standard that was cute that he also just bought. He has 45 running British cars and another 20 in restoration!! One is enough for me.
