I wonder, too. She used to drive the S to work sometimes, but says she is afraid it will get dented in the parking garage I think she just doesn't enjoy driving a stick shift. She does enjoy riding topless in it, though. And she looks forward to the Hondacar Vintage meets with you guys!

^ That's good, since you do seem to be attending/hosting quite a few! Tell her for us.

My BT Jr's continue to work just fine on both cars; they have been hooked up all winter. I plan to call my insurance agent on Monday and get back to full coverage since the forecast is for 70 degrees next week.

I'm liking $5 battery chargers sold by Harbor Freight these days. I don't know how long they will last, but they kept a group of 4 big car and marine batteries going for the last 5 months, right at the 13.1 voltage level.

Getting ready to insure a couple of storage queens too. A couple of weeks earlier than normal for me.

Sad to admit; I frequent the place, too. Gotta keep those Chinese factories afloat! I can't always justify buying superbly engineered German products that I hardly ever use. But I did order a BT Jr for $27, mainly because it is automatic and I don't have to be around to turn it off. I should have ordered two, one for the Jeep battery in CO.

I have a charger that came from Sears, many. many, many, many years ago, and it still works great.

I always use it on the 2A/12V setting as a long slow charge is best.

My S battery goes into the CRX-Si this year as the CRX-Si battery was finally dead after 9-10 years, and I bought this tiny lightweight thing for my S.

NRG-CELL Original Racing Battery
NRGCELL Original Racing Battery - With such compact dimensions (3.3" x 6.9" x 5.2") it is hard to believe this will run a car. Indeed, the 360 CCA on tap will run just about any car under 3.0L fine on a daily basis. Shed a ton of weight an mount anywhere!

Time to resurrect this old thread.

I'm driving the S2000 less and less. I think have have to give serious thought to this idea.

5 years on have opinions changed at all?

Emil asked about these guys, CTEK

I have three Deltran battery tenders that I use for winter storage. I swear by them. My 2003 S2000 is still on its original battery. They come with a lead that can be connected to the battery leads and tucked under the back edge of the hood. Easy to disconnect without opening the hood.
