My first agent once explained it to me this way. She didn't take 10%, she let me keep 90%.
It didn't sound so bad that way.

My client was on the verge of signing with your team however since you failed to respond within the last 24 hours you have greatly offended him and his family. Frankly, he is now having his doubts about your organization.
