He did it again....Complete game no-hitter. Struck out 15, walked 2. He had a perfect game going into the fifth.

OK... let's talk contract! He definitely needs to be in a pitcher friendly park like SBC, and the bonus of pitching for the Giants is that he'll never face the humiliation of being booed by his hometown crowd for walking Barry Bonds!

Don't worry about school... He can finish junior high after he retires...

In addition to salary and signing bonus, you want to be sure to negotiate for a private room when on the road, a bonus tied to attendence and a bonus tied to strikeouts. Also, you want the right to approve or disapprove of any trade. We also want some assurance that the team will trade for or negotiate with other quality players in order to become a pennant contender.

Make sure that he does not agree to wear any particular teams' hat on his plaque in the Hall of Fame. We want to keep that choice open. This will be an important negotiating point later in his career when we talk to Steinbrenner.

I'm sure the Mets will be agreeable. They need the pitching.
