Nats ended the slide last night with a two-run walkoff homer in the 9th over the D'backs. Our new young player, Harper (19!) was three for four.

Nats have been on fire, but dropped a couple games off their lead. Atlanta is challenging. Last night's game against the Mets (Nats won 5-4 on a wild pitch in the 10th) was crazy!

Well looks like the Phils have figured out how to win this season, just saying.

They lost a heartbreaker today. Papelbon couldn't close it. Lee looked good and Halladay threw well last night. Long long way to go though and the Nats are going to be tough.

I'm a Phillies a fan but barring a miracle or total collapse of some higher placed teams they are done for this season. I do hope the Nat's take the division as I was a Davey Johnson fan growing up in Baltimore and he has done an outstanding job for them. I like their youth, experienced vets, and they are hungry.

They are playing extremely well right now. I wonder if the brass will stick to the plan for Strasburg with a pennant at stake?

Yeah - they're not hurting for pitching otherwise. May give the Braves a bit of an advantage down the stretch - if Ben Sheets holds up. Same surgery - same concerns.

Well, the Nats won a big game against the Braves last night to go up by five games. It was a crazy finish - walkoff run on an error in the 13th. Two more games against them tonight and tomorrow.
