Well, the morning after, it doesn't get any better. I have to say, they lost in truly spectacular fashion! What's even more ironic, my land phone has been out for a few days. I called to get my messages this morning, and a good friend had called last night about 6 to offer me his tickets to the game!! I wasn't home as it turns out and wouldn't have gotten the call anyway. Maybe if I had gone, the results would have been different. Boohoo...

That was a tough one. I thought the Nats had it in the bag. The Cards are hard to beat in October.

If the Yanks lost I was hoping for that too. They both had great years....Maybe the Nats should have let Strasburg pitch in the playoffs

Nah...the problem wasn't Strasburg. The Nats made the right call there. The problem was the rest of the pitching being inconsistent. Especially last night, when the offense came alive for the first time in the series. That should have won it for the Nats but it didn't. I could not believe Storen could not get the job done with two outs and two strikes in the 9th. Just an amazing collapse. It won't take away from what the team did up to now, but it's a major disappointment.

Sorry O's fans, but the better team (Tigers) will beat the Yanks.

Looks like I'll be changing to my "winter" avatar soon.
