Default Barbara Walters passes away

We lost a media icon yesterday, as Barbara Walters passed away at the age of 93. She was a 12 time Emmy Award winner and a member of the Television Academy Hall of Fame.

She was one cool lady. It was too bad that the poor casting choices of The View detracted from her usually high standards.

On my first trip to Disneyland as a kid one day my family went to a Hollywood mall. Happened to sit next to Barbara Walters at a Foot Locker in the mall where she was with her then teenage daughter trying on shoes. Very cool experience that I will never forget. Certainly a media icon and trailblazer.

I was a big fan of 2020 back in the 70s and she always did such great interviews. RIP, Barbara

I remember when she interviewed Clint Eastwood and she asked him a question about something he clearly didn't want to talk about and she kept pushing and he gave her the dirtiest Dirty Harry/Clint Eastwood look.
She had cajones for sure!

One of the greats. She opened the door for all of the great female reporters who followed. May she rest in peace.

To all of us who grew up with Saturday Night Live she will always be Baba Wawa. I heard that she hated that when Gilder Radner first did it, but later on she and Gilder Radner became close friends.
