matrix, I've been a conflicted fan of both the Steelers and the Skins since I was a little kid back in Northern Virginia.
More importantly, I HATE THE DALLAS COWBOYS!!!
Ok...I think the Off-Topic mod needs to go back from whence he came...

I've been a moderator on various sites (of varying traffic) for several years. At all of these sites being a moderator was a somewhat sacred role - it was understood that the moderator stayed cool, communicated intelligibly and willing excused himself or herself from topic discussions that might put him or her at odds with community members.
Without pointing fingers, I must say that s2ki.com is the first messageboard environment I've seen where being a moderator isn't regarded as a sacred responsibility, where moderators aren't held to any communication standards, and where some moderators seem only too eager to pick a side and jump into the bar fight---not as a moderator but as a participant. I've seen a few examples of this so far. IMO the best moderators sacrifice themselves as participants in order to reinforce their credibility as a moderator. That does not happen on some of the parts of s2ki.
I like the ignore button. It's a nice feature. I wish all sites had something like it.
