val,
nice "rant" (aka passionate monologue )
One small bit of personal clarification that I bring up ONLY because you used my perceptions as a springboard for what you had to say.
I think it needs to be clear that I do not personally think of all of you as needing walkers or not understanding what idealism and patriotism and freedom and equality and a whole host of other things are that are often mistakenly considered the folly of youth.
My father is 67 years old. He fought to protect this country and our freedoms for 39 years in the military before retiring and STILL working behind the scenes with people around the world as well as within our own country to further understanding and cooperation between a variety of countries and cultures.
Add to that the fact that many of my closest friends in this world easily fit the qualifications for the Vintage board (they're in their 40s and 50s) and I think it is clear that I am in a somewhat unique situation for a person of my mere 32 (well...almost 32) years because my perspective is not solely colored by youth.
Anyway, I'll be quiet now and go get breakfast...

that this has been a good thread. There HAVE been some misunderstandings raised, but I think raising them and being willing to work through them makes us all stronger.
BTW...didn't make it to Jubilante yesterday. The guy I bought the 5 pt harness from offered me a beer and we ended up talking car stuff for a while. Then I hit Sykart for one session and then got a call that I needed to get back to the office to take care of something.

I had lunch @ Jubilante yesterday - the panko coated fish and chips were good but the jambalaya was better.

Erik's a bit high strung at times. Not his fault entirely. I'd probably be that high strung if I had to "babysit" the entirety of s2ki, too...
Hell, I get close to that high strung sometimes and all I'M responsibile for is watching what goes on in Off-Topic!
I think Ms. Liggy hid your kane in the garage...
