Thanks for the info Jerry, card sent

 

I just got off the phone with him. He says hello to everyone. He told me they are still doing tests and do not know what the problem is. He expects he will be back on line in a couple of weeks.

 

^ I'm sure he was thrilled to hear from another Vintage friend and will love getting all the cards peeps will send.

 

I mailed a card this AM.

We had a nice lunch with Herman at SF 07 in PA. He made the trip to MA for the Nor'Easter 08, and joined us for a drive on Sunday, a visit at our home and dinner after wards.

Good times.

 

I am in that town every weekend. My mother is in an assisted living/alzheimer's faciility a few blocks away. I'm going to pay him a visit this coming weekend.

 

What a coincidence...I'm sure he will really enjoy that visit, Rob.

 

I hope so. I'm going to pickup a book on motorsport to bring him to help pass the time. Time moves very slowly in those facilities.

I read through that thread last night too, Jerry...late at the office and I just got sucked into it from the link you had in the other thread. It was a good read and I noticed the same thing about some of the members now gone.

 

Good for you Rob! I'm glad you're close enough for such a personal gesture. Hope it goes well and let us know how he's doing.
