The IMSA race from Laguna Seca was good to watch today. Acura one, two with a close race.

Taped it but haven't watched it. No surprise that Acura won.... they seem to own that track. The announcers for that series drive me nuts so I usually have their races a low priority.

https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/f...-new/10049860/

the effort that is going into this race is really remarkable.
The building of the track, the grading, the drainage, the foot bridges, the barriers, the seating, and it's all for a temporary race for a weekend.
I expect it will all get trundled off to some warehouse for re-use next year but getting it all in place and then torn down is amazing.
I'm glad it's not my job. The doesn't even include any of the fan experience or concessions stuff.
It makes me wonder what the economic impact to Miami will be?

^ you missed off the marina with boats and fake water. F1 is turning into more of a show/spectacle than Motorsport. Massive amount of money and a lot of it misguided, but I’m sure Netflix will be pleased.

I hope some of you had the chance to see P1 and P2 at Miami on Friday. They were two of the most interesting P sessions in a very long time.

Even P3 was interesting. I really enjoy the remarks of guest race car drivers who know what they are talking about.

I was surprised that no one slapped the wall in Qualie. It would seem its bound to happen in the race.

Once the huge circus per-race event ended, the race started off exciting but soon went into the usual boring F1 train. I really expected a much better race given all the unknowns of new track.

started good and then fizzled. The safety car almost spiced things up a little.
