The 245/45-16 is already made, that's not the issue, the issue is Hankook North America sees no value in bringing that size over here
Feel free to contact Hankook and complain, let them know Douglas Hood sent ya, they already know me well

Complaints over no 245/45-16 R-S3 to be sent here:

And for the record, if anybody other than me noticed the specs listed by Hankook for R-S3 245/45-17 and 255/40-17 seemed a bit odd, you will enjoy this email I got from Hankook...

Mold profile data for the two R-S3 sizes the customer inquired about.

245/40ZR17
TW = 232mm = 9.1"

255/40ZR17
TW = 242mm = 9.5"

The section width published in the product catalog is correct for both sizes.
Tread width for the 255/40ZR17 size needs to be changed from 9.0" to 9.5".

As I was looking at the catalog, I noticed another size that didn't look right.
Tread width for the 285/35ZR18 size needs to be changed from 10.1" to 10.6"

I had called them out, I was sure the Tread Width was wrong, and after several emails I finally got the final answer. Now I feel much better knowing the 255 is indeed bigger than the 255 in tread width.
