Neither of you guys has it bad. Seattle may not be on the Arctic Circle, but we're substantially farther north than Boston (and of course, MS). In December it will be dark by 4pm. And usually raining, too.

Flip side is that we get much longer beautiful summer evenings.

^ For a few weeks it gets dark around 4:30 down here. The really bad
thing down here is we rarely see the sun from Jan till April, its always
overcast.

Jan to April. I feel so bad for you ... not. I wish it were only overcast from Jan to April.

Don't get me wrong, I love Puget Sound and the weather here, but even we natives get restless with the overcast from about this time of year until early July.

Rob, you would like it in the Peoples Republic of China (formerly known as Red China). They don't do Daylight Savings and the entire huge country is on ONE TIME ZONE (Look at a Time Zone map and you'll see what I mean )

hey you had your good day last month. stop whining.

I love it just north of you up in Whistler BC.
The weather is tough because my wife gets vertigo when it gets too white.
And it's almost always doing something up there but it is gorgeous when it is clear.
