hmmm, I like Jamaica Blue Mountain and Hawaiian Kona.
It's hard to get the real thing and not a "mix" without spending an arm and a leg.
Go for it. Life is too short to drink bad coffee. I don't drink a lot, so I figure when I do drink coffee it has to be good.

We like the Keurig one cup machine. Coffee/tee/hot cocoa variety is great and it is always fresh.

I have a press, but I've stopped using it. I got tired of cleaning the grounds out of it. Tossing a filter is easier. At the time I was also grinding my own beans, and my cheap grinder produced too much small stuff that got through the press' mesh.

Does anyone here roast their own beans? Someone on another message board was raving about a personal sized roaster they had. Even if the coffee you produce isn't any better than commercial it might be worth it just to have the smell in the house.

My brother has a french press that we used while camping a few years ago. It was pretty good. But I maintain the beans make more of a difference than the prep method, as long as you press/drip/perk/brew correctly and use good water. Freshly roasted beans freshly ground are hard to beat.

We take a FP when we go ca or boat camping. My son took one to
Afghanistan. Although I,m not a coffee nut, it is convenient.

I've roasted my own in the past, but haven't had time to deal with it for a while. I have a small I-roaster and have used popcorn poppers. It is hard to beat the fresh roasted stuff, but it is a little messy and must be done outside to keep the smoke/smelly fumes from ruining your house. It is fun and yummy, but time consuming.

I am drinking FP cup of coffee with Starbucks French Roast beans I bought from Costco with a slice of cheesecake. I think I prefer French Press over regular drip coffee.

I want to try the Santos vacuum by Bodum. It is about $70 from Amazon. Maybe I can find something like that at a thrift store.
