Thanks, Sue. I take 10 Mg Amlodipine so I checked the recall notice. Fortunately, mine is a generic made by Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. The recall is for Amlodipine manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals.
This is good as there is no lot number on the bottle.

I wonder if notice of recall for a med I am on would trickle down to me via Walgreen's.

I think that you should get notified through Walgreen's if one of your drugs has a recall.

We get some of our drugs from Express Scripts (mail order), and there is a banner across the top of the page telling about recalls.

Curious that I am, I did a search about Walgreen recalls, and I found this page:

I too use Express Scripts and I was notified immediately, like within 1 or 2 days of the findings. And, I was on an alternative within 1 or 2 days after that for Valsartan.

And, still another one. This one involves Teva.

Teva recall

I think that the Mylan one and the Teva one both involve amlodipine only when it is combined with valsartan and/or hydrochlorothiazide.

Other recalls involve valsartan and/or valsartan combined with hydrochlorothiazide.

The common denominator in these recalls seems to be the valsartan.

Kind of scary, all of the recalls lately.

Wow. Walgreen sells a lot of stuff besides drugs.

My wife's doctor switched her back to Valsartan from Losartan a few weeks ago. The prescription she has has not been recalled....yet.

Might not be "quite as bad" as you think, as these two in the USA Today article are the same ones that I posted about on 11/27/2018.

Teva Recall

Some of these recalls are combination drugs, and the common denominator seems to be the valsartan component.
