Well, it is a guy magnet, too. When I had my profile on Match, there was a pic of me sitting in my old S2000. It got a lot of attention! Every time I have it out, I get looks or comments. Some of them are for the license plate, but most are for the car.

So true, I would be interested in chatting up any woman driving an S2000 for sure

I was surprised how many vehicles in general were left exposed to the elements. You think someone who owns a McLaren would be smart enough and have the resources to avoid the risk.

I'm wondering if MGB's are ever going to go up in value. I know TR-6'S have..

My take on that is that some people who have enough money to collect cars have no emotional attachment to them and just see them as expendable toys. The cars are insured and won't be missed when they're gone as they're just there for a year before the next best thing replaces it. I've come across people like that who don't understand how other people, like me, LOVE our fun car(s). This group is where I've come across that attitude.

My S is irreplaceable to me. If anything ever happened to it I just couldn't replace it as I bought it new and have put a lot of effort into keeping it up, I couldn't recreate that.

Nope. The very early ones with chrome bumpers, etc. will always be in demand but I don't see it happening.

For sure. The guy with the McLaren will love being able to tell his story and show his videos for years to come. Way more fun than just selling it out right.

I totally get it although I'm on my third, and I bought it used since they were discontinued. My current one is an '07 Laguna Blue that I bought when my '05 Suzuka got 100,000 miles on it. My first was an '01 Silverstone that my ex-husband has up for sale, again. I just feel the need for an S2000 in my life. I think my soul would hurt if I didn't have it, like losing a dear cat or dog.
