When it comes to charging stations in Michigan the last I heard was the State, and major Universities, and major Auto Manufacturers have joined a pack to figure out the best solution.

Personally I think having one or two manufacturers build the entire charging structures and stations for the entire USA would ensure a future where any EV operator any where would know what to expect when traveling. Have Tesla do it, if they have the best to date. They constantly update everything and perhaps stations everywhere would benefit. I not suggesting Tesla own them; just build them.

Heard long ago that Musk’s game plan was sell Teslas at a loss, but own all the charging stations in the US. Charging to charge, a steady stream of income, like cable TV or cell phone plans.

Seems to be a good business model. I saw window signs in a rental store in town. TV's $12 a week. Washer & dryer $19 a week. Etc. The store had 3 trucks on standby.

And the cost to charge your car at those locations is much higher compared to your cost of charging at home, the cost per kw/hr is a fair bit higher making charging on the road more expensive.

You would think after all these years, I would know pretty much everything about my other half. But no. Today he told me he got pulled over some years ago while rushing to the Navy base after a call to go in. Reckless driving charge. He went before the judge and worked out a deal of some kind, but then the judge asked him what kind of a car he was driving. He told him a Hyundai. The judge said “$50 for driving a Hyundai!!”

Yeah I have kept a few driving tickets from my wife, it isn't something you are proud to share to be honest.

So he got a reduced fine because he drove a Hyundai, was the judge a Hyundai fan or did he feel sorry that Vito had to drive a Hyundai ? lol. I suspect a reckless driving charge would normally carry a much higher fine.

Watched a little bit of the Mecum auction this weekend prices are still up there. Trucks seem to be the next big thing even run of the mill single cab trucks from the 90's are bringing 5 figures.
Talked to a friend of mine who deals in classics and he had just gone to a classic car auction and said he sold everything he brought for way more than they were worth but on the flip side he didn't buy anything, everything is just too overvalued.
