I love my little blue car.

Dirty but happy little car. Yes, my S2000 thanked me for playing with it in the dirt.

8-28-2022. I went inside Rocky Mountain National Park, again, today, with a 1 to 3 pm reservation. I wanted to drive on the dirt Old Fall River Road but I assumed that it was washed out because we've had a lot of heavy rain lately. Instead of driving my Pilot for the dirt road, I took my S2000. When I got to the Fall River entrance station they told me the road was open. I asked a park ranger if that car over there, pointing to my S2000, would make it on the dirt road. She said yes! I had the best time with the top down being able to see the rocky mountains above me. I has about ten slow pokes pull over in corners to let me pass. I wasn't speeding but I do have experience with dirt roads in much worse condition and I'm not afraid of one lane roads with drop offs and no guardrails. Many RMNP visitors are quite unfamiliar with all that. It was especially fun because it was one lane and one direction. No worry about head-ons.

I took Old Fall River Road up and Trail Ridge Road back down. Maybe this belongs in Odds and Ends Photos, too.

Thank you, Dave. I really need to get out my pressure washer for my cars. I hate having dirty cars.

BTW, the trip home and back home was a total of 92 miles. I love living so close to RMNP!

My brother and I took a road trip out to Denver to pick up a high school friend, we then drove out to Utah, Arizona and hit Las Vegas. We’re on the way home today.

A few pics.

^ Wow! That is a stunning photograph! I haven't been there since my trip to 2016 S2KCA days in Durango. Makes me want to go again.

It's road 163. I was driving from Flagstaff to Durango each time. The shorter way is to stay on 160 into Durango but the detour through Monument Valley and all the cool red sandstone buttes is to take 163 from Kayenta and then rejoin 160 in one of two places.

Ah yeah Monument Valley, I've seen it in many pictures, and now I see why they have scenic pullover areas , very cool. I've seen it in some movies.
