Patricia, this one's for you. NSX owner checks out what for many, many years was my local road race track. I use to live just a few miles away and have too many stories that I will not share. I can proudly say I have been black flagged on it... some know what that means. I am hosting an MGA meet there on the 23rd for the vintage races.

Very cool, Dave. Will you be tracking your own vintage MGA during the event?

FWIIW: Last year I was invited to a Hagerty event at a Motorsport park in https://www.dominionraceway.com/
We got to do several "HOT PARADE LAPS" behind the pace car around the road course. I am happy that I lined up first behind the pace car. In front of the Ferrari behind me. As it turned out "Just because one can afford one does not mean that one can drive it" I followed the pace car without ever braking, just down shifting and the the guy in the Ferrari was never even close behind me. I felt sorry for the people that were stuck behind him. We reached speeds just under triple digits. But it was still fun.

VW ousted CEO who pushed to be the world's biggest EV producer. It seems like his big goals conflicted with Board members who wanted to preserve employees, the new plans conflicted with employee retention. Ford just predicted a loss of 8k employees on the ICE side of manufacturing as it moves towards electrification.

building engines took lot of folks that the electric motors don't.
buggy whip makers at it's worst.
although the creation of an ICE has been falling off as it is.
Unless you worked at AMG, there is very little human effort left.
it is funny how, not enough engines to justify programming the robots, got turned into a badge of pride.
