That is despicable Rob, it is a joke. Policing there must be a business more than a service. That sucks.

That is pretty crazy in my books, last time I checked 40 degrees is well above freezing. I would be furious that someone took the time out of their work day to pull me over for something that trivial.

^That is revenue enhancement, not safety. We have a couple small towns near us that are just as strict on enforcing their 25 MPH speed limit, especially with out of state drivers. The locals know to strictly obey the limit.

Just saw this article that Virginia passed a law eliminating ticket quotas for police officers. https://wapo.st/3MNN3W4

That is hilarious that people actually admit that quotas exist, every Police department in North America refuses to acknowledge quotas. I know one Police officer told me that technically speaking the term quotas is not used in our city's Police department. But if he does not issue a certain number of citations in any given time period, they do look upon him as not doing his job properly or slacking off, and they will speak to him about it as if he is sleeping on the job, lol.

Exactly. Like I've said before there is a huge difference between our local police department and the county sheriff. The county sheriff's cars are always hiding in the bushes or trees were they can't be seen and they just write ticket after ticket. Our local police sit out in the open and they concentrate on areas were they get complaints from homeowners about speeders. Our chief has said time and time again that their goal is to slow people down not give tickets. They write twice as many warnings as they give out tickets and they make their presence known. Sheriff's dept here is just out raising revenue.

I really don't care about quotas and such, we all have bills to pay.
What annoys me is I have to pay more for my insurance because they have bills to pay.

My BIL just bought a ' 22 Hyundai Sonata N Line last week, I took it for a spin yesterday and was surprised how peppy it was & seemed to ride good. Another plus is it takes regular gas.

Just looked it up looks like they are pretty fast. Hyundai has come a long way from when they first started.
