Yeah used WRX prices are not worthwhile when you can get new for almost the same money. My thinking is that in 8-12 months used car prices will start to normalize if new car production ramps up close to normal levels again. Used car prices are so high because new car production is so low.

The WRX recently was given an award for best residual value among sport and compact cars.

Mercedes-Benz is asking owners to indefinitely park certain ML, GL and R-Class vehicles from the 2006 through 2012 model years as the brakes can fail due to possible corrosion issues. The request comes as the company is preparing to recall an estimated 292,000 potentially impacted vehicles, according to the Associated Press.

In documents posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Mercedes says owners of impacted models should not drive the vehicles as the brakes can fail leading to an increased risk of a crash. The issue stems from a problem with moisture that can get into a brake booster housing and cause corrosion. If that happens, it can cause a vacuum leak and in turn decrease brake performance.

yup my '09 GL is now parked. For me, no big deal. I have others.
I could see how it might seriously annoy an owner of a single vehicle who can't afford to just park a vehicle for a few weeks.

I was at the Subie dealer today and took another look, I think the new style may grow on me a bit. They had 3 on the lot and all three had a three grand markup.

Yeah I have gotten over the black cladding, they do drive nice in terms of suspension, engine, and steering, the new chassis is better. The good points are greater than the negative ones.

I am getting my new WRX at MSRP, dealer mark-ups are not permitted in Canada. I bought my new Honda Civic at MSRP where many dealers in the US ask for 5-15k dealer mark-ups.

If you negotiate your trade well enough you can easily recoup that dealer mark-up with trade value, and I know US dealers are very good at paying top dollar on used cars right now, it is a trade-off I guess.

Take one for a spin Rob.

That is a really high percentage of WRX's , my dealer has none for sale, they have one but they refuse to sell it as it is only for test-drives. The one I bought was on order from Japan but was not produced yet, maybe a 3-4 month wait, which I hate. But I get to drive my current car until it arrives, no mileage limit , and they take it as it is when that time comes, then I jump into a new WRX.
