Ms. P’s car is definitely a Pontiac, not a Chevrolet like the second photo.

Yes, looks like the 1959 Pontiac Bonneville Safari. It had the fins on the back. Since we went to France in 1960, it had to be older than that. Except I don't see the silver ornaments on the side of the hood on ours.

As time went on the whales got smaller. We had this '87 Chevy wagon we called the "Iron Horse". Named for the nickname of the engine known as the "Iron Duke", a straight 4-cylinder 2.5L. I recall a lady coming up to me at a gas station and saying to me..... hey, that's an Iron Duke, I built that engine.

Yes. 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity Eurosport Wagon. Pretty decent every-day car for the wife for 10 years. Daughter took it to college and it lasted 1.5 years before she wrecked it.
