^ Jim I love the Liz Warren reference, lol.
I myself love the way Subaru's handle in the snow, I've driven many AWD / 4WD systems on many cars but something about the Subaru drivetrain that is excellent in bad weather conditions. I know insurance companies love Subaru's and you can save a few bucks with their high safety ratings. Windshield costs are not so good, and yeah the eyesight system adds to the cost when the windshields break. I do like the safety systems but I suspect the help out mostly when people are not attentive and distracted.
My Subaru's never knew how to detect cars in front of me turning right and going out of my drive lane as I was driving behind them, I knew the cars were turning and there was no chance of impact but the cars always thought I was going to crash into them and would want to slam on the brakes, I hated that most.

Somethings...
Today, I'm driving some backroads to a golf course about an hour away from me. Radio starts playing Rush' Red Barchetta. Sure enough, there's a truck behind me and there's a one lane bridge coming up... Go figure!

I entered a draw this month for a brand new Corvette in a charity draw, unfortunately I did not win. But they directed me to a new Corvette charity draw in November, which I have also entered. It sure would be nice to win a Corvette
I know they have similar draws in the US, and the nice thing is that we don't pay taxes on winnings here

Didn’t think it would happen again this season but got some top down driving in today in the S. That sun was bright today! Glad I was able to get a tire put on and didn’t just put it away a few weeks ago.

Same here Robb- hit 80 I think. Had about an hour drive each way on back roads. Chilly the next few days, then away for the weekend. Should be in the low 60s for a week and then predicting 80 again 10/30 and 10/31.

We've had amazing fall weather. Lots of top down time. The P car will get it's oil changed and it will be covered soon. The S2000 is always available, so if we get a warm spell in November, it can still be a top down day.
Patricia, I hope you learn to love your BMW. My current Jeep has a lot of electronics. The only thing I've turned off is lane assist. It's a real PIA. I have experienced some of the weird messages if snow or frost is covering the sensors.
I can't remember if it was my current Jeep or the last one that just died for a moment while I was driving. I was able to pull into a driveway. Took a few minutes and it re-started. Not sure what that was about but it only happened once. Had it happened again, I would not have been happy. One time I had to do some kind of "soft re-set" on the radio. Outside of that, no technology issues.

As someone in a pink button up sweater once said, It’s a Good Day in the Neighborhood. A good car buddy came over and crawled over, under, and everywhere in my MG to get it back on the road. We got my rebuilt rear axles and rebuilt rear brakes installed so well I don’t ever see the need to touch them as long as I own the car except to manually adjust for pad wear. And, he tackled the electric distributor that was previously installed off a few gears. Since my timing light was broken, he was left with timing it by ear by turning the distributor while the car was running. When he left, it was sweat music.
