Prices are crazy for a lot of the old ‘stuff’. Just basic 68-70 Chargers are bringing big money and when you get into special editions like the Charger 500 and Daytona it just brings more. It is depressing on a few levels.

I entered a contest to potentially win a brand new Corvette Stingray from a local charity. I don't really need a third vehicle, but it looked so good and the tickets were cheap. Retail price is $137,000 here. I once owned a 1980 Corvette, this would be quite an upgrade over that old design lol

I was just reading an article about the new ZR-1 and they commented that it had the horsepower of five and a half 1981 Corvettes lol. I’m pretty sure the 81 had the same horsepower as the 80. If I remember correctly it was 180 horsepower and the California cars had 165.

That is a cool statistic Rob, Yeah kind of crazy that those old cars were so low on power from 350 cubic inches. My 1980 Corvette was in that range yes, so bad looking back.

I think it is more crazy how much the newer stuff has. The new ZR1 has 1064 horsepower out of the showroom, unless you are going to track it that is way too much for the street in my opinion.
