Don't think that didn't cross my mind as I looked at that too cool wagon. But like Sam, I don't have a way to store it and it would be a crime to keep it in the driveway, even under a car cover.

^That is a beautiful station wagon. I always liked the clamshell rear tailgate. Buick Estate wagon in that era as well as Chevrolet Impala wagon had them. I thought the glass going up and metal gate going down were the coolest feature. I liked Porsche 928 because the back wraparound glass reminded me of this clamshell rear of those station wagons. I always wanted to get that clamshell wagon someday but it has not happened yet. Our family had Ford station wagon and later, Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser but they weren't as cool as the clamshell station wagons. I am sorry that car is gone but all the great memories will live on in you.

This is the '78 Wagon I used to haul my kids around in when they were Sam's age.

Too funny, we had a ‘77 custom cruiser that was my mothers to accompany the ‘73. They then added a third, an ‘85 as the gas mileage in the ‘73 was fairly awful. So we had 3 of them at one point. The ‘73 lasted the longest followed by the ‘77 which was replaced by a ‘92 Mercury Sable wagon. My mother has a ‘00 BMW 5 series wagon now.
I can blame my parents for my love of wagons though I’ve never owned myself, yet.

I keep one there already so I don’t think it would be an issue. Trouble would be getting it up here. Missed opportunity now

In my late teens I convinced my Mom she needed a wagon. For you know, reasons....

My very first car was a '64 Rambler station wagon. My girl friends parents were not amused!
