Fernley was another I really liked, this is Phil Hill at the 1958 LeMans race.

And then there's Turner's painting of Moss in his greatest race.

The Miata got a photo shoot today for BaT. I decided to use the BaT photo service. Gary came over from New Orleans (I think) to do the shoot. Now everything goes up to Snappr who will crop and organize the photography.
Going this rout was $330 in addition to the listing fee plus $400 for detailing and paint correction. All this plus a new Robbins top and a timing belt and water pump service means I am way upside down.
But I bought it at a great price, and it just doesn't get the use it deserves. The roads around here just don't offer any real driving pleasure and I haven't been able to take it to where the fun is the last couple years. Oh, well. At least I made one MATG (Miatas At The Gap) meets and made plenty of runs on US 129, State Rd 28, and lots of other great roads in the area. Frankly, that one weekend was worth the price of the car. Not as wild and wooly as hitting those same roads in my S2000 but great fun in its own way.

Mike, I never owned a Miata but there is a sweet spot in my heart for them. I was all set to buy one when luck linked me with the S2000. I suspect your ongoing health issues have played a big part in coming to this point. For a real true car guy making money on them is never the goal, it's all about the ride. Great memories. Hope you come out on top in the sale. PS - great photo.

And you made it to my house for lunch in the very beginning. A memorable Cuban sandwich at the ale house (long since closed, sadly). But I understand your decision. Better to sell it to someone who can drive it more and appreciate it as much as you did.

It seemed to be doing a good bit of business when we were there. And I remember that Cuban. Tasty and nutritious.
