I think 20 years from now we'll either think of Musk as this generation's Thomas Edison or Bernie Madoff. I'm not sure which.

Infrastructure bill includes, in new spending, $7.5 billion for charging stations. It also includes "$65 billion for the power grid. The bill would fund updates to power lines and cables, as well as provide money to prevent hacking of the power grid. Clean energy funding is also included," per Investopedia.com. So a good start and probably enough to support the expected growth in EVs, although I don't know the duration of the spending authorization.

How about those SUVs? Pretty hot market segment, or what?

Seems like the right place to post that. Thanks, Dave.

Upgrading the grid is good but if you don't have the generation to feed the grid you got nothing!

State of the art nuclear as a bridge to solar and other carbon neutral renewables. Not sure there is any alternative.

That reminded me of the turbine car from Chrysler that they brought to the engineering school where I went to college. As I recall they made about 100 of them but sales never took off.

I saw a tiny BMW today...it's the i3. Tiny does not mean cheap, however!! Ah, I see it is an EV and sales have been pretty dismal.
