Oh, thank you! I normally do that before posting but didn't see my information as I was just happy with the offer.

OK. Sort of funny and sort of disturbing. I was reading the article linked to in your post. Then suddenly my monitor went black followed by a message "No signal".

Computer was still running. Had to shut down old school (pressing the power button for 5 seconds), then restart.

Patty were you able to sell your Pilot?
I've read that the system is well and truly F'ed up.
there won't be any 1 day fixes but possibly months although the company is saying this weekend.

The only way to identify and sort out issues with vintage cars is to take them on very long drives. I am reminded of the value of car clubs once again. My MGA wanted to stall out at idle on the trip home from Ohio in the 90+ heat, so I asked a good friend, ex-MG racer, and gearhead to help with a tune-up. We torqued the head, adjusted the valves, did a compression test, double checked plug gaps, and set the timing. The engine has 40,000 miles on it since the last rebuild. There was a 15% variance between #1 and #3. 10% or less is what you would like but since I don’t plan on doing any drag racing it’s still fine. There was minimal wear since the last tune up and nothing jumped out as a cause. There was a noticeable improvement in acceleration which was expected. We didn’t mess with the carbs. Another ex-racer and gearhead went through them with me last summer after I ordered new needles, jets, springs, etc. and installed new K&N air cleaners. Did this solve the problem? To be determined.

If it continues Dave maybe check the carb bolts to the manifold, I’ve had a loose carb cause the same issue b4.

That happened to me yesterday. My pc just locked up. I did the power off, once I got it to turn off, and it was fine. Phew.

Not yet. EchoPark, gave me the in-person offer but said they'd contact me when they could print a check. They were expecting it to be a week, on Monday, when I was there.

Related to this, I drive for SAINT today. I have my least favorite regular rider this morning. I really don't want to have her in my Honda, let alone a new BMW. I have a choice of which car to drive. She'll eventually ride in the BMW so I guess I may as well get it over with.

Oh, and I was surprised that the only metal on the entire side of the X5 is the rear panel. We place SAINT magnets on the sides of the cars we drive. A few drivers have Teslas. I'll just stick it on the back and hope they don't blow off since it's not perfectly flat.

I'm guessing the door skins are aluminum then?

Everyone has to pay. One way or another

Hanging out with the bride

This goes with the Blue Nose Special. I noted that the vehicle was hidden in the roof beams of a garage to hide it from scrap metal collection during WWII
