For those that had MGs in the past I can appreciate all your comments.

My car took 1st place in the 1500cc category at the North American MGA Register’s national meet in 2005. But I owned a 1600cc before and wanted more. By 2010 I replaced most original components with newer MGA components - engine, carbs, transmission, differential, front brakes, and wire wheels. The upgrades resolved most issues while keeping faithful to originality. The 1622cc engine was the last MGA engine, then I bored it 40 over and installed a rally cam.

In the mid-west expressways are no issue. Entry no problem. It will travel 80 mph for hours. But I only do expressways when I have to . . . passing 18-wheeler trucks is scary. Looking sideways at all those tires that could blow any minute isn’t in the fun factor. Entry in a congested major city is scary … found that out in Memphis.

The Honda S2000 wins out at so many levels – best engine ever built, top up in seconds, wonderful handling, wonderful reliability… etc., etc. I’m thankful I got to spend many hours with both.

A 1098cc sprite had a 0-60 of "how about never? Oh alright Tuesday then!"
0-30 was good but it sure petered out quick after that.

I have fears of loose tires coming off tractor trailers even when I pass them, I don't trust most people who maintain trucks these days - skimping on costs and safety big time here. It must be scary in that small sports car.

The S2000 was extremely safe though, designed well in so many ways and having impressive safety ratings compared to any time period.

Hey Dave , what kind of seat belts to you have in that car, just straight lap belts or 3 point ? I love the car but I would be super choosey on where I would drive it.

After this one, I switched to 3 points.

As someone who watched a truck tire tread come loose while driving my S2000 to a meetup at the dragon I can't begin to describe the slow motion sickening feeling with no escape--middle of three lanes with large vehicles next to me on either side. Fortunately damage was limited to the lower part of the front bumper cover. So the weekend was not totally ruined.

I hit a road gator flipped up from a semi truck in front of me in my 2007 S2000 about three years ago. I was told it was my fault because I was following too close. I didn't affect my insurance though.

Are you f****** kidding me?
