I was at a Toyota dealership test driving a RAV4 Hybrid Limited, yesterday, and saw a Tacoma that was $80,000. The one you saw must have been the base model. I'm taking my 2017 Pilot in to the mechanic when I get back from CA. It has a rumble at 1800 rpm and around 35 mph, along with at other speeds. I just hit 68,000 miles on it. If I have to put in a new tranny, I may get something else. I liked the RAV4 and it was peppier than I expected but it's a bit of a step down in interior plushness and in size. The front end felt light in turns at speed. My 2008 RAV4 did too. The mileage is killer, though! I get 21 mpg in my Pilot most of the time. I may start looking into the CR-V hybrid. I didn't like the CR-V in 2017 with the whining four cylinder engine.

I took the S in today for state inspection, oil change and they did a once over on it and made a video which I like since I can see the underside close up while it is on the lift. Looks like I may finally need to replace my 21 year old brakes, they passed but are getting close. Also I thought it was b.s. when they say they removed the cabin filter to check it as I thought it was somewhat of a p.i.t.a. to remove but the mechanic had it out and I could tell it was mine as I recognized the pine needles in it. The big surprise was when I got my mail yesterday there was a coupon from Honda that I used today and it cut 91.50 off the bill.
