There should be a law against parking that butt ugly truck next to that beautiful car!

Not to me. I don't find the Cybertruck ugly. Comical, yes, but it doesn't make me want to look away at all.

The cybertruck looks like it came from a bad, low budget, science fantasy flick from the late 70's.

I took the MG out of storage and took a 10 mile test drive to see how good my range of motion was with no power steering and shifting. Both the car and I passed the test. I was all smiles except for dodging the damn potholes on some of the back roads.

It looks exactly how Elon wanted it to, against the wishes of his team. To me, it looks exactly like it came from a comic book.

From the Facebook group with the post, where I found the image, after I asked the OP how his friend likes it:

."..so, this person is stuck on Tesla in the same sense I’m stuck on Acura. He’s 3 days into ownership but it looks like many of the cyber trucks are just now getting delivered in mass. I’m seeing a lot of YouTuber content on them. As far as the truck goes. Went for a spin, it’s more quick and nimble than I expected. I don’t want one but it’s kinda cool."

This was my reply:

I get the brand loyalty, especially with the electric folks. I have owned twelve Honda/Acuras and currently own five. My son has a Tesla, a new Rivian truck and the oldest vehicle, a Subaru Ascent. He's got enough solar panels and the Tesla battery packs to keep his house going when the power is out. I live in Loveland, Colorado and there's a Tesla Shop here. I saw eight Cybertrucks there on 4-17-32024. There's a recall over an accelerator pedal ( not a gas pedal) that can become trapped in a depressed position. The 3,878 affected vehicles represent every Tesla Cybertruck built between November 13, 2023 and April 4, 2024.

Glad to hear you and the MG are both ready for some summer fun, not to mention spring and fall.

From what I've seen and read, the Cybertruck is a great SUV, proficient at both on and off road duty. But when it comes to actual truck stuff like towing and hauling it comes up short. But it sounds like it is as good as a Rivian or a Lightning in most everything except for build quality and those sharp edges that can cut the owner's skin and the frunk cover that can cut your fingers clean off. Its looks are not for everybody but plenty of people think it's just plain cool, and plane cool as well.
