Had my first instance today of a part not being carried in stock anymore for the S. Went to my local parts store to order an air filter for the S and they don’t carry them anymore. The staff there went over and beyond trying to find it but I knew pretty much that it wasn’t going to be carried there anymore. I can get it online but I like dealing with my local parts store it’s kind of a bummer.

I thought it was bad a few years ago, when it comes to not stocking basic maintenance parts then that is truly sad, Honda needs to take better care of owners who have cars like S2000's , it is a special model not like your everyday Civic.

They said at the parts store that it is happening with most older cars, things aren’t what they used to be unfortunately.
That brings up a curious question Joey as to who makes the decision not to carry parts for the older cars at the auto parts stores is it the manufacturer or the store?
I called my Honda dealer’s parts department and they said they can get it for me in a day. Guy made me laugh as he said you must be the guy who I always make sure I have specific S2000 oil filters for.

That is basically why they totaled my S. Many of the common parts were discontinued with no after market suppliers.

It’s at 4100 now with a bit more than 2.5 days to go. Wonder what reserve is?

The reserve must be nuts! The last time it made it to $9900 and they didn't accept it. This is the fourth time it has been up for auction.

I'm sorry but you are living in the past.

Hey now. Isn't Honda the Power of Dreams? Yeah, it was. I hope it comes back soon. I will want to replace my Pilot in 2 years-ish.

it doesn’t make economic sense to make spare parts for these small production numbered cars any longer than the government requires them to and Honda is in business to make money.
