My truck mechanic solved the tailgate problem. He was unable to remove the tailgate (you know, just a 5 minute job) even using a crowbar. The left roller insert refused to come apart. After lots of cursing about loving to work on old trucks, he noticed the right side striker pin was loose. After tightening it, the rattle was fixed.

My GL has a loud exhaust. The left side Y-pipe appears to be loose at the clamp.
I'll admit to being slightly confused. The pipes are stainless steel and have no obvious corrosion on them.
The clamp also looks to be in good shape and has been fully closed around the joint.
BUT it still has exhaust gases leaking and is making noise.
It does look like something hit the pipe about a foot away and caused a small dent.
Otherwise at this moment I'm flummoxed.

I may have spoken (wished) too soon. I still have a serious rattle but it's 50% of what it was.

Replaced the original spark plugs on the 2007 S2000 with 31,282 miles today. Honda recommend replacement at a little over 100K miles. I was concern with the plugs being seized so I replace them as preventive maintenance. These were in the S2000 for almost 17 years.

The original plugs looks great, the gap were all at .99 mm which is just .01 mm out of specification.

As I posted in the Good Book thread, I'm reading about Elon Musk and thoroughly enjoying the book. I read this last night in relation to building the truck. His reason for creating it wasn't to get sales. I just find him so interesting.

Oh, I left you hanging...

Jay Leno featured Elon on a few different episodes of Jay Leno’s Garage. I found the most recent one he did interesting it was about Space X. It was season 7 episode 3 of Jay Leno’s garage. I saw it on CNBC but it is streaming on Apple TV

Did you see the Saturday Night Live that Elon hosted? It was fun.

No I haven’t seen SNL in a long time.

I don't watch it live but I do record them. If I see someone interesting hosting I'll take a look. Elon was funny. I guess they write everything the host says but but it seemed to fit him.
