I've owned an NB Miata, an AP1 S2000 and an NA1 NSX as well as some other cars with decent manuals. For my money the best all-around manual shifter was the one in my son's W11 MR2. The term "rifle bolt action" get tossed around too much by automotive journalists, but it absolutely applies to that 5-speed MR2 shifter.

I don't love the look of Porches but if they are as reliable as an S2000 I may consider one in the future. I've never driven one or considered one before but the S is so gutless at 5,000 feet and above. I keep it for the top down use.

I'd bet overall, the Honda is much more reliable and less expensive to fix.

You should get rid of that gutless S!

I don't remember, does the NSX have a removable T-top?

I have thought about selling the S. Maybe I should take it back to CA and bring the 2005 NSX here but it might be gutless here, too.

The 2005 NSX does have a removable T-top.
