Jinxed it. ~$US8,000 bill to sort it out. Not thrilled but sometimes you win the Euro game and sometimes you lose. Sigh.

Not sure as yet, I think it's roughly 60:40. The pressure sensor that's failed is part of the AdBlue tank itself, and the whole thing has to come out and be replaced. Maybe next time we'll just go with Toyota/Lexus and suck up the inferior ride and lack of pace.

Was just thinking maybe you could cross reference a part if it is really expensive with a cheaper one. Works with some parts while others you do want to go factory.

The Datsun 2000 would be a great one to own. I recall one blowing by me going the old original road course at the Glen. My MG couldn't touch that power.
I'm in the crowd that supports taking a look at a used Porsche Boxster. In back-to-back two day testing the Caymen that I thought of buying, it did everything just a tad better than my S2000 and I understood why they could get the extra $20k or whatever it was at the time. Much as I loved it, I'm not a "tin top" guy and it didn't work any better for the wife's back condition. Still I loved the looks. I've never driven a Boxster but I appreciate Lainey's comparisons.
I'm sure you have been keeping your eye on the used S2000 market. So many were bought by people who seldom drove them there has to be really good one's out there.
