I made an appointment to get my 2017 Pilot worked on for the "minor" oil pump leak. It'll be over $2,000 when it's done. I'm taking it in on Jan 29th and they'll give me a a loaner Subaru. The oil is starting to show on my garage floor. It's a tad over 64,000 miles so I'm getting the timing belt and water pump done too. I got a few quotes and this one is in the middle and at a highly respected shop in Loveland, Metric Motors. I'll feel better when it's done. It's been over a year since I was told that the oil pump was sweating.

On a different note, this is SO true nowadays! People are nuts.

We have an AdBlue fault on our diesel Q7 ("No restart after 600km"), and the earliest we could get it booked in was 01/16. Seems to be a leaking AdBlue injector. Audi bills are cheap, right?

I didn't realize Honda still used timing belts on their motors in recent years.

My Ferrari had a timing belt, it’s a big deal on those as they are interference engines and very expensive to repair if a belt breaks and pistons/valves meet in a bad way. Rule of thumb is to change them every 5 years 30,000 miles. Some models they can be replaced by going through the right rear wheel well others you have to pull the engine which is a lot more$$$.
