That type of vehicle is cleared to operate on so called "bike paths" in the Netherlands. These pictures were not taken there but these vehicles can be very handy. Think of the "golf car" in The Villages".

We have handicapped people driving large covered scooters with cabins on them on our sidewalks in my home town. I was once walking down a sidewalk and one came up behind me honking their horn for me to move out of the way, the nerve ! If they weren't handicapped I would have tipped them over lol.

And they last. I've had mine for almost 10-years.

I dry cleaned the thing once. Really came back nice and soft.
