It pays to own a Porsche. Anyone remember hearing about this?: Porsche and Volkswagen (the “Defendants”) have agreed to a Consumer Class Action Settlement Agreement and Release (the “Settlement”) to resolve claims that certain Porsche-branded gasoline vehicles sold or leased in the United States produce excess emissions and/or obtain worse fuel economy on the road than in testing conditions. Porsche and Volkswagen deny the claims but have decided to settle

We got a check for $181.00 today. We might have been eligible for more if we wanted to take the car to a dealer for some tweaking. No thanks.....

We've been burning a lot of premium gas enjoying some nice September weather. The $181.00 will be gone in no time!

It was disappointing to fill my GL550 the other day, pump stops at $100.00, so never actually filled it.

Yes, got a few letters from them to take my vehicle in so they can re-program/update the "Sport+" mode. At some point, I will have to bring it in for the PDCC service. Wondering if I can opt out of the update while it's there for service.

What is that service? Not sure that applies to our 2016 Boxster. We've avoided Porsche dealership service so far.....

PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) is an active hydraulic antiroll bar. A filter in the reservoir requires replacement after so many years. I might get the parts and do it myself, it isn't too hard.

I've been keen to pick up an earlier model Cayenne for a paddock wagon but as my son will also be driving it to school that idea has been vetoed to avoid Entitled Child syndrome.

Now shopping for an earlier model Touareg instead, but they seem to have stopped depreciating. Found an '08 but it's been modified (loud exhaust, possibly springs) and a 5 hour drive away. We have until November before Farmtruck's roadworthy status lapses. Decisions decisions...

Matt, you can still go with the cayenne and avoid entitled child syndrome, get it rust wrapped.
