Good news: bad news:

Bad news: wife's E450 acting oddly. headlight on passenger side was out on Friday night.
worse news: it works now.
even worse news: I ran an OBDII report and it came back with a bunch of errors from different systems

Good News: I talked with service advisor describing issues. Did some remote work for him doing physical inspection etc. and discussing when to bring it in.
They decide to just run a remote diagnostic on the car while it its in our driveway.
They read out the fault codes I was seeing without having to go anywhere.

Ah, for the days when a bulb went out, you simply replaced it and it only took a few minutes and few dollars.

^ I"m not looking forward to replacing my daytime running light LED strips when they eventually burn out, you must buy the entire assembly to replace it.

I’m dreading it on the S as you have to pull the whole bumper to change the bulb. I’m still running on my factory original bulbs.

This could mean low battery voltage.

When I first looked at this I thought, gee that's kinda cool looking. And then I read why - round headlights!

I recently made a couple changes that I am very pleased with. I've owned MGAs for over 50 years that were red, green, black, and white but it was the white one that drove me nuts because of the glare in the windshield. Something I never noticed in the others. In 2011 I placed a stealth protective matte film by XPEL below the windshield to stop glare but it didn't really help much. Finally I said, enough is enough. I don't care about originality as much as driving pleasure. A before picture.

And now

Oh, my, I wish I had done that from the time I bought the car. No more glare when driving.

And this is my second improvement. I replaced the original SU air cleaners with K&N air cleaners. MPG went from 26 to 28 and the car had a definite improvement in performance.

Thanks, it does provide lots of enjoyment but I really miss my S2000 track days and trips.

Nice Dave - enjoy the improvements.

Pulled into the office lot yesterday and today and there's a car I hadn't seen in the lot yet. A Gen 1 Audi R8 Spyder! Nice!

Don't know whose it is yet but it was raining yesterday. Today was fantastic out.
