Heck yeah, up to 45 hp. Look out kids, I'm on the sidewalk.

Just one of a dozen or more famous race cars at Lime Rock, CT for the vintage weekend. I had buddies who raced MGs there. And, now they are off to the Glen. Yeah, I'm so old I saw this one race at LeMans.

I took a ton of photos at the Maine Classic Car Museum. They had some gorgeous vehicles. Maybe I'll share a few in this automotive thread from time to time. Here are two of my favorites. A Delahey (never heard of that one) and a 1957 Chrysler Super Dart. Fins to the left, fins to the right! Who needs Apple Car Play? Spin those 45's! I wonder how much the record skips while driving along!

I recently read about the record players in the Chrysler vehicles. The first ones in the 50's required special records you couldn't play 45's on them. The records for the Chrysler players of the 50's played at 16 2/3 rpm and were provided by Columbia. For 1960 RCA Victorola came out with a player for Chrysler that would play 45's.

A few more from the car museum in Maine

Humber Super Snipe 1949

Humber Super Snipe 1949 info

The MG for Dave 1932 MG PA (there was a little puddle of oil underneath).

1948 Nash Ambassador - Suburban Note fund facts in next pic. Rear seats fold down. The area didn't look very comfortable at all!

The best auto museum I have been to is in the Hague: the Louwman Museum. I was watching an auto auction site and an early (late 1800s) electric car was purchased by the museum. I wanted to go there just to see that car. I bid a two day layover in Amsterdam and then took the train down to the Hague. After that museum I went to the Mauritshuis Museum (lots of Vermeers) a nice cafe dinner on the street, quick train ride back to Amsterdam and then a bike home to the hotel. What a day!

A walk through this park to the museum from the Train Station.
