it's an '09 with 150K on it. The brakes are redundant. but that doesn't mean you can't lose pedal.

This past weekend, I replaced the Rav4's front brakes (calipers, pads, and rotors). After inspecting the pads on the LS 460, I placed an order for pads and rotors on all four corners. Hope it will be here before this weekend.

All this talk about brakes gave me the push I needed to pull all my wheels on the MG and inspect the brakes. All were in excellent condition.

My new calipers will be here tomorrow. It will give me something to do in this 90° heat!

I need to do the same thing on my daily drivers, once a year inspection, cleaning, lube. Last year I had my Subaru dealer do it on my WRX as I thought the relatively low cost was worth saving the hassle of me doing it. After my car returned the brakes were spongy as crap, so I swore to never let the dealer touch my brakes again.

I've replaced the brake pads and rotors on our IS250 F-Sport and all the Hondas. Always used OEM parts, even for the pads. Never had issues with them.

I figure that the brakes are kinda important. Worry a bit, about generic products. But, that's just me...

Good luck, on the fix!
