I lust for an atom
I should sell the bike and just go for this.

When I was in jr high a neighbor had one of these to play with silly six wheeel toy
He beat the crap out of it.
It reinforced that there were two worlds out there and I knew I wasn't part of one of them.

Ariel Atom is on my bucket list to drive. I'd love to find one I could rent at a racetrack.
Palmer Motorsports Track has arrive and drive rentals but no Atoms. May settle for that sometime, just driving on a track is a bucket list item for me.

I never think of my MG in terms of horsepower. The BMC’s B-series engine used in the MGA 1500/1600/1622 MkII models was a well-proven engine. I have owned at least one of each version. Initial engines were 68 hp; then 72; then upped to 80 and then 90. My 1622 with mods tops 100 hp. Not bad for a free wrecked MGA in the Pontiac Press in 1979. B-series engines powered more than one hundred thousand MGA’s and went on to power more than half-million MGB’s.

My current engine has survived two car wrecks where the cars were totaled. I’ve done two rebuilds. It is bored 40 thousands over with a rally cam. It has proven to be a great engine. It won't light up tires leaving a stop light but it can cruse all day at 80 mph. More than good enough for me, especially in the twisties.

Some codgers back out and take forever to turn their car. At least they know they suck at driving and probably can't see, so they go very slowly.

I sure don't need close to 500 horsepower in my 2017 NSX (NC1) but it's so much fun! I never knew what that kind of acceleration felt like and didn't understand why people modify their stock NA2 and NA1 NSXs. Now I get it. It makes me laugh when I drive it. It's very hard not to go fast in it. I feel like I'm reining in horses that need to burn off steam. I drove it a week ago and let the horsies go when a light turned green. I was on a road that had no signals for 5 miles. Once I caught up to a car I just settled in. I saw some behemoth white SUV gain on me and then settle in behind me. I found out it was a Sherriff when I turned right and the driver went straight.

People don’t seem to know how to drive or turn into a parking lot fluididly (think I just made up that word) they can’t just go doesn’t have to be fast but just move in a forward direction without CONSTANTLY being on/off your brakes.
It takes me about 30 minutes to drive to my night job and I have done it going home in 17 minutes because I can actually drive the whole distance going home without having to touch the brakes, unless an animal runs out in front of me.

This has to be the most bizarre thing I've seen in a long while - Bull rides shotgun on Ford automobile - completely nuts. wow. The one shot of the bull poop on the back of the car is very eye opening, but what a crazy stunt, that bull is massive, and I do mean massive. Damn.

Car with giant bull named Howdy Doody riding shotgun pulled over in Nebraska (msn.com)

Big horns but small bull. I must admit I'm looking at our wagon sideways now, although Nuboy would have had another 400lb or so on Howdy Doody and would have ruined the suspension. Watusi bulls are generally 1000-1600lb, Nuboy was a Simmental cross and coming up 2000lb but would likely have topped out somewhere over 2400lb at full maturity.

Thanks for tuning in to Farmtalk with Donuts, we'll see you next time, take care. *jaunty outro music*
