I can't help but wonder what the used EV market will be in seven years or so when the cost of replacing the batteries exceeds what the vehicle is worth?

I'm hoping recycling will provide a lower cost alternative to new replacement batteries. And for a lot of people the question will be do the replacement batteries cost significantly less than a newer replacement vehicle.

Meanwhile, Lithium looks like the next crude oil, creating vast wealth for some but at a huge social and environmental cost.

Watching the Mecum auction on Motor Trend T.V. I guess Barret Jackson is out. These prices are depressing, seems like everything is going for six figures.

Exciting news out of Durban, South Africa, where Gordon Murray Automotive has announced the T.33 with an engine that revs to 11,000 RPM and and which will be available with a manual transmission.

And, pricing is set to be "much more accessible" than Murray's T.50 which was heavily influenced by Murray's McLaren F1 supercar. The T.33 with its high revving V12 will only set you back 1.85 million. That's a small estate's worth less than the 2.5 million you would have had to shell out for the T.50.

Jerry, this one has your name all over it. (Oh, actually, that's Gordon Murray's name, but you know what I mean. )

I was also told that it might take till mid summer before the problem is fixed.
Anyone having the same problem?
I guess you better keep the watch.
