I received a pleasant surprise in the mail yesterday. I am happy that I decided to open what I thought was "junk mail". It was a check for $97.17 out of the blue, from the Takata air bag settlement for the Honda Fit Sport.

Good thing they tossed that belt over the beam so it wouldn't hang down where someone could trip over it.

Well if they are ANSI standard color, then blue rates at 250 lbs -- at least when it was new. Place looks rather 2nd or 3rd worldey, though.

When you have thirty minutes to kill you may find this interesting? Anyone care to bid on it? Wow! it is perhaps the ugliest car that I have ever seen?

dave as for exhaust with steel wool...
when i was a kid i had a chevy pickup with sidepipes. You could look right down the middle of them they were so open.
come time for inspection, I packed the pipes with some steel wool.
The guy doing the inspection kinda tilted his head and said " rev it up a little."
I gently pressed the throttle raising the revs about 500, "again"
I pushed it up a 1,000 rpm, " ah ok!!"

leaving the station I hammered the throttle, revs ran up and finally the pipes cleared their throat and little balls of steel wool went tumbling into the street.
