Good point. China is a BIG driver in the EV car market for US companies. Wait till they kick our ass out. I don't see investing in any car company as a good move.

I think Toyota is fairly well positioned for long term success. Their timing of EV options seems spot on. So far they have dipped their tow into electrics but their focus remains on ICE and some very solid hybrid offerings. So they will have the necessary engineering experience when the market has more fully embraced pure electrics but meanwhile they have most of the current market covered. Toyota has always been cautious with new technology and this approach has usually served them well.

WOW! according to my insurance company, you're supposed to be at fault if you hit something like a tire tread as I did with my S2000 when it flew up on the freeway. I'm sure that video proved the tire couldn't be avoided.
