Lighten up, Francis. Oh, I do get it. Rounding one of those bends and seeing some oncoming idiot biker cutting the corner in your lane is pretty terrifying. But this was a fun video, really well shot by a great drone operator, on a CLOSED COURSE. I'm pretty sure Scott Speed could easily keep that car between the mustard and the mayonnaise if he was required to do so.

I enjoyed it enough to watch it a second time. Brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for posting it, Joey.

^ They should have run it both ways, his way and within the lane, that would have been cool to see. Always nice to see a car like this running the Dragon, the sounds and sights are cool, the echo through the local region would have been nice hear in person for those who were there.

I am positive that the Tennessee Dept. of Highway Safety is simply delighted to have this video out there.
While the dept of of tourism just peed their pants with glee.

No doubt he can throw the car around. It still leaves me cold to watch him simply drive straight through a series of very tight switchbacks.

Yeah, what's the fun in that? Roseanne says at meets/drives that she and Jason put on, something to the effect of, "If you're crossing the yellow line, you're doing it wrong." I agree.

I did an NSX meet a few months ago and the leader was intentionally swerving in a straight section, back and forth. I annoyed me as I got the road debris bouncing off my car.

woke up to a touch of snow this morning, not very much accumulation but enough to motivate me to put on the snow tires and winter wheels on the WRX. It has been a very mild December thus far, and I don't like to wear out winter tires on dry pavement if it is warm out. Wheel swaps are pretty quick these days, jacking up at the driver lift point raises the front and rear wheel as the chassis is so stiff. My battery powered impact wrench makes quick work of the lug nuts, my wife and I work like a Nascar pit crew, lol.

I have two SUV's to change over.
I've just been lazy. I will say in my defense though, those 21" wheels and tires are damn heavy and the Benz don't studs, they have threads and bolts.
There is an art form to hanging those tires in place and getting the first lugbolt aligned into place.
They have aluminum posts to align the starting but they bend when you hang that much on them, I want stainless.
