It does but not tightly. When the wheel is installed, There is a large axle nut that is pretty cool from an engineering standpoint and that is torqued, released, torqued to spec, released again, torqued again, released again, torqued again. This all occurs with a partial tire rotation between torques. The torque wrench is the most manly torque wrench I have ever seen. A work of art, massive and accurate. I don't recall the limits but every time it was torqued, the mechanics referenced the instructions.

I now have two vehicles running 0w-20 motor oil for the first time. By its very nature 0w-20 has to be a synthetic oil, and the thin viscosity makes for fast oil flow on startup. I've noticed a big difference in how easy the cars turn over on cold winter days. The engines sound smoother and quieter on start up too, and they spin faster as the starter engages. These newer oils really work well in cold temp conditions, and they don't seem to have any issues in hot temps either.

Joey, do you have an engine cut out to save fuel when you are sitting at lights?

My 911 does that and I found an aftermarket device that disables it or you would have to push a button every time you get in the car. One of our other vehicles is a hybrid so it does this as part of the hybrid system.

Seems like the engine cut off would add significantly to starter wear.

I have always found it difficult to find decent used vehicles in Vermont. When I lived in R.I. you could always find something half way decent for a fair price.
I have noticed that dealers have been getting more new cars in stock and my Subaru dealer is advertising new cars for 100.00 under sticker which is a good sign.
I was listening to a car show yesterday and they said the average price of a used car was 31,000, more people are fixing up their older cars as it is cheaper than buying a newer one.

I did notice that the M.S.R.P. on a new WRX has gone up quite a bit since I bought mine 4 years ago. Mine in 18' was 27,855 and now they are 32,278.

When I first got my Civic I disliked the feature, but after getting used to it the auto-stop doesn't really add any delay to taking off from a stop. The engine restarts very quickly and you get used to it so there is no real delay. I sometimes dislike when it shuts down, and then chooses to start back up very early, so it may be more wasteful under some conditions. The car will restart the engine early if it decides that it can't keep up with the air conditioning or heating while shutdown. For the most part it works fine.
