Finally succeeded. Still took an hour, waiting on yahoos to show or do this or do that.
This was a quick pic. If you want to see a professional picture just google CX-50.

You’re going to love that CX-50. I was pleasantly surprised with our CX-5 and would buy another Mazda if they had a pickup truck.

The fit and finish on the Mazdas are equal to any car, including Honda, that I have ever owned.

Mazda makes the BT-50, which is Ford Ranger-sized, and was actually built on the same platform until early last year, but since moved to a shared platform with another midsize pickup (Isuzu D-Max).

This class of pickup is by far the most dominant size in New Zealand - Ranger, BT-50, D-Max, Toyota Hilux, VW Amarok (now platform sharing with the new Ranger), Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan Navara etc. Not as physically imposing as F150s and so on but big enough for our more compact environment, and still strong enough for a 7,700lb tow rating. Beds are generally only 5ft or less on the double cabs though. Almost exclusively smaller capacity turbodiesels.

They've all become hugely popular since the Australian car industry shut down and we lost access to cheap RWD V8 sedans. They're really our equivalent of the F150/Silverado/Ram 1500, and over 90% of them will rarely if ever be used as originally intended.

I never heard that Toyota was considering having fake manual trannies in their EV's, but Honda says it won't do that. Interesting concept, I don't know what to make of that idea. I know my CVT transmission has fake shifting and simulated gear shifting. Hmmm.........

^ I'm convinced we live in a fake world, or very close to it.
