My work colleague is on her third Hyundai motor, the first two self-destructed, they were all under warranty but they left her stranded on the highway twice when they failed.

Hyundai cancels all hydrogen fuel cell research now as well. Second big decision this week from this company, so it seems they are full steam ahead on electrification.

This S2000 on Cars & Bids today leaves me at a loss for words. Why, oh why, would anyone spend the money to do this to their car???

well, I'd make two quick observations.
Stock S2000's resale figures are routinely coming back near sticker now.
This car after a week is only at $17k.

Wow, 6-speed with Vet engine - - now that's a custom swap if there ever was one. I hate the look of black doors which break up the entire flow of the lines. Clearly they wanted attention and personalized it to get it.

A word if I could Dave....
How did you let this car get out of Mi-she-gan without dropping a dime and letting me know?

wow. I'm not even going to waste time throwing a bid at it.
My guess is somewhere close to $60K maybe more.
Amusing that it's a " No Reserve " auction.
Sort of like putting a reserve on a Da Vinci or a Michelangelo.

Jerry I may have mentioned this before but I never even sat in Merc let alone driven one, so it was easy.

If we ever get to a meet again Dave, maybe we can fix that.

Included under "Modifications"
  • Brake booster removed
Yeah. Because nothing goes better with 400 HP than unboosted brakes. #trackonly
