2nd Annual Charity Used Golf Ball Sale!
Just like last year, I've got a ton of used golf balls ("hit once, lost right away" ) that I would like to sell to any interested golfers. All proceeds will once again be donated to the ALS Association, with a dollar-for-dollar match by my employer. Last year we raised $800, which meant that $1,600 was donated in total. As some of you may know, one of my relatives was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, so this is a cause that is very dear to my heart.
This year I want to try something a little different. I'm not a golfer, so I have no clue which balls are good (read: expensive) and what a fair price would be (well, I do a little, so any lowball offers shall be punished with a raised eyebrow!). So I'll leave it up to you. You tell me what you want, how many, and what it's worth to you. I'll trust your generosity -- as I said, it's for a good cause.
YES, I'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SHIP! I'll be using those handy flat-rate boxes you can get from the post office, so please consider that postage will be $8.95. If you want to economize and pool some orders/donations from your region, consider that I can fit 11 dozen balls into one box. Plan accordingly.
Makes and models that are available:
Titleist: Pro-V1, Pro-V1x, DT So/Lo, NXT and NXT-Tour
Callaway: Warbird, Big Bertha, HX Hot, HX Tour, and HX Tour 56
Nike: One Platinum, One Black, Juice, Mojo, Powersoft and Powerlong
Limited quantities of Dunlop, Srixon, Slazenger and Bridgestone balls.
Also available: general, unsorted Nike balls and various other brands (Maxfli, Topflite, etc). Let me know if you're interested in those and I can get you the details. First come, first serve.
Post here or send me a PM in case you prefer some privacy, and I'll let you know where to send your donations. Again, this is a cause very dear to my heart, so I thank you for your support.
If you have any questions, please send me a PM.

Neat idea for a charity!
Balls are even better than advertised, Ulrich! Look like if they were ever used, it was only on a putting green . And, they got here QUICK... yesterday . (they gotta be the best 'traveled' golf balls in the world.... from Scottsdale to TX to the Chesapeake Bay ). Is so nice here today, I might even go see if I can lose a couple this afternoon.
C'mon duffers. 'Tis a great cause, and you can help yourself ease the pain of all the expensive balls you are gonna lose this coming year.

Just to give everyone a quick update -- I raised almost $1,500 so far, and there are still a whole bunch of Nike golf balls left (and some Maxflis, Bridgestone, Srixon, Dunlap and Slazengers). So it's not too late to contribute to a good cause.
And thanks again to everyone who helped make this such a great success!
